Thomas J. Votta, P.E. serves as the Deputy Director of CSP and is responsible for program development and strategic planning, reporting to the Executive Director. Mr. Votta was a part of the team that worked with the Pew Charitable Trusts to create CSP in 1996. He has worked as the project manager on numerous CSP initiatives and coordinates the technical aspects of these initiatives.

Mr. Votta was formerly a Senior Scientist in the Business and Sustainability group at Tellus Institute. His work focused in the areas of supply chainmanagement, pollution prevention, environmental accounting, and corporate environmental strategy. Prior to joining Tellus, Mr. Votta held positions at Resources for the Future in Washington, DC, and Metcalf and Eddy Engineers, in Wakefield, MA.

Mr. Votta has a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont and an M.S. in Environmental Management and Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a licensed professional environmental engineer in the State of Vermont.
